| Steven M. Barsky produces high quality underwater videos for clients and for distribution through Hammerhead Video, his own production company. Steve writes the scripts, directs, shoots, and edits each production, along with his crew. He also programs and creates DVDs, including the menus and the artwork for the box and disk.
Steve produced a 45-minute educational video for Trelleborg-Viking which is distributed on CD-ROM to public safety and commercial divers. For this project, Steve filmed the New York Harbor Patrol Divers, the Trident Foundation in Columbus, Georgia, the Long Beach, California Lifeguards, and divers from the California Department of Transportation. At times, Steve directed more than 40 people. The program covers all aspects of polluted water diving and the use of Viking dry suits. Steve and his wife, Kristine, have produced five DVDs for the sport diving market. California Lobster Diving, the video is a 45 minute film on the adventure and excitement of lobster diving. Dry Suit Diving in Depth is a 46 minute film that explains and demonstrates every facet of dry suit diving. A third DVD on wreck and boat diving has been completed as has a program on California marine life identification. Choosing and Using Dive Computers is a 43 minute film that helps divers to select the dive computer that best fits their needs, and illustrates the proper way to use a dive computer. | Steve created this 45-minute instructional video for Trelleborg-Viking in Sweden. The program is cross-platform and plays on both PCs and Macintosh computers. This was a low-cost but extremely effective method of getting Viking's message to consumers. | |||||||||||||||
